किय॑ती॒ योषा॑ मर्य॒तो व॑धू॒योः परि॑प्रीता॒ पन्य॑सा॒ वार्ये॑ण । भ॒द्रा व॒धूर्भ॑वति॒ यत्सु॒पेशाः॑ स्व॒यं सा मि॒त्रं व॑नुते॒ जने॑ चित्
kiyatī yoṣā maryato vadhūyoḥ pariprītā panyasā vāryeṇa bhadrā vadhūrbhavati yatsupeśāḥ svayaṃ sā mitraṃ vanute jane cit
How many married women are esteemed beloved of a bride? With maidens and the choice cup, good brides become: where they approach, she makes a friend and cherishes the folk.
How many a woman has been gratified by the flattering praise of man's desire, when the bride isfortunate and beautiful, she of herself chooses her husband among men.
How many a maid is pleasing to the suitor who fain would marry for her splendid riches? If the girl be both good and fair of feature, she finds, herself, a friend among the people.
