आ दे॒वाना॒मपि॒ पन्था॑मगन्म॒ यच्छ॒क्नवा॑म॒ तदनु॒ प्रवो॑ळ्हुम् । अ॒ग्निर्वि॒द्वान्स य॑जा॒त्सेदु॒ होता॒ सो अ॑ध्व॒रान्स ऋ॒तून्क॑ल्पयाति
ā devānāmapi panthāmaganma yacchaknavāma tadanu pravoḷhum agnirvidvānsa yajātsedu hotā so adhvarānsa ṛtūnkalpayāti
Go on the paths of the gods that we may follow; we shall proceed after. Agni, learned, when the sacrificer is born you bring the courses and establish the rites.
May we pursue the path that leads to the gods to convey that (worship) which we may be able (tooffer). May that wise Agni minister, for he verily is the ministrant priest, and let him prescribe the ceremonies andthe seasons.
To the Gods' pathway have we travelled, ready to execute what work we may accomplish. Let Agni, for he knows, complete the worship. He is the Priest: let him fix rites and seasons.
