वेषि॑ हो॒त्रमु॒त पो॒त्रं जना॑नां मन्धा॒तासि॑ द्रविणो॒दा ऋ॒तावा॑ । स्वाहा॑ व॒यं कृ॒णवा॑मा ह॒वींषि॑ दे॒वो दे॒वान्य॑जत्व॒ग्निरर्ह॑न्
veṣi hotramuta potraṃ janānāṃ mandhātāsi draviṇodā ṛtāvā svāhā vayaṃ kṛṇavāmā havīṃṣi devo devānyajatvagnirarhan
Adorn the priest and send the heir of men among the people; you pour wealth as the giver of seasons. We offer svāhā: do for us the oblation, O god; the gods have worshipped the gods with worthy fire.
Whether, Agni, you prefer the office of hotā or potā among men, you are wise, the giver of wealth,the observer of truth, let us offer the oblations with the (sacred) svāhā, and may the most excellent and divineAgni present them to the gods.
Thine is the Herald's, thine the Cleanser's office, thinker art thou, wealth-giver, true to Order. Let us with Svaha offer up oblations, and Agni, worthy God, pay the Gods worship.
