त्वं मा॒याभि॑रनवद्य मा॒यिनं॑ श्रवस्य॒ता मन॑सा वृ॒त्रम॑र्दयः । त्वामिन्नरो॑ वृणते॒ गवि॑ष्टिषु॒ त्वां विश्वा॑सु॒ हव्या॒स्विष्टि॑षु
tvaṃ māyābhiranavadya māyinaṃ śravasyatā manasā vṛtramardayaḥ tvāminnaro vṛṇate gaviṣṭiṣu tvāṃ viśvāsu havyāsviṣṭiṣu
Do not be fooled by sorceries; cause the charm‑worker to cease — the mind of the hearer crush Vṛtra. Men choose you among wealths, you are called by all for oblations.
Irreproachable Indra, with mind intent on glory you have your deceptions slain the deceptive Vṛtra.The worshipper chooses you when he seeks for his (stolen) cattle, and in all sacrifices accompanied withinvocations.
Thou with thy magic powers didst rend the conjurer Vrtra, O Blameless One, with heart that longed for fame. Heroes elect thee when they battle for the prey, thee in all sacrifices worthy of renown.
