प्रत्य॑स्य॒ श्रेण॑यो ददृश्र॒ एकं॑ नि॒यानं॑ ब॒हवो॒ रथा॑सः । बा॒हू यद॑ग्ने अनु॒मर्मृ॑जानो॒ न्य॑ङ्ङुत्ता॒नाम॒न्वेषि॒ भूमि॑म्
pratyasya śreṇayo dadṛśra ekaṃ niyānaṃ bahavo rathāsaḥ bāhū yadagne anumarmṛjāno nyaṅṅuttānāmanveṣi bhūmim
You made many chariot‑paces into one path; O Agni, limbs pressed, you sought the land with joined forces.
His lines (of flame) are visible, like one array of many chariots, when clearing away (the forests) withyour arms (of flame) you march, Agni, over the prostrate earth.
Apparent are his lines as he approaches the course is single, but the cars are many, When, Agni, thou, making thine arms resplendent, advancest o'er the land spread out beneath thee.
