ऊर्जो॑ नपाज्जातवेदः सुश॒स्तिभि॒र्मन्द॑स्व धी॒तिभि॑र्हि॒तः । त्वे इषः॒ सं द॑धु॒र्भूरि॑वर्पसश्चि॒त्रोत॑यो वा॒मजा॑ताः
ūrjo napājjātavedaḥ suśastibhirmandasva dhītibhirhitaḥ tve iṣaḥ saṃ dadhurbhūrivarpasaścitrotayo vāmajātāḥ
Strength arose—Napa-born Agni, well-behaved, with slow and steady thoughts. May you place desire like abundant rain, famed brightly, born of the left.
Son of strength, Jātavedas, rejoice in our adorations, (be) satisfied by our offerings, (theworshippers) have plural ced before you viands of many sorts of wonderful efficacy, of excellent origin. {Son ofstrength: ūrjo napāt = grandson of waters; or, non-injurer; or, food].
O Jatavedas, Son of Strength, rejoice ihyself, gracious, in our fair hymns and songs. In thee are treasured various forms of strengthening food, born nobly and of wondrous help.
