अपे॑त॒ वी॑त॒ वि च॑ सर्प॒तातो॒ऽस्मा ए॒तं पि॒तरो॑ लो॒कम॑क्रन् । अहो॑भिर॒द्भिर॒क्तुभि॒र्व्य॑क्तं य॒मो द॑दात्यव॒सान॑मस्मै
apeta vīta vi ca sarpatāto'smā etaṃ pitaro lokamakran ahobhiradbhiraktubhirvyaktaṃ yamo dadātyavasānamasmai
Having quelled the terror, the serpent's might, our fathers fashioned this world for us. Wonderful, by their wrath and by manifest deeds, Yama gave the destined end to him.
Depart from hence, begone, go far off, (evil spirits); the Pitṛs have assigned this plural ce to him, yamahas given him a plural ce of cremation consecrated by days, streams and nights. To him-- (the departedworshipper].
Go hence, depart ye, fly in all directions: this place for him the Fathers have provided. Yama bestows on him a place to rest in adorned with days and beams of light and waters.
