May he praise the all-giving one from all treasures—the divine Gandharva, the realm of light. Whether that which is true, whether we know or cut off understanding, may this not be lacking.
May the celestial Gandharva Viśvāvasu, the measurer of the water, declare to us that which is thetruth, and that which we do not know; accepting our praises. (Viśvāvasu), protect our sacrifices.
This song Visvavasu shall sing us, meter of air's mid-realm celestial Gandharva, That we may know aright both truth and falsehood: may he inspire our thoughts and help our praises.
