This is the watchful eye of heaven standing mid-sky, keeping the atmosphere free. He was invoked with many oaths, with clarified butter, former and later as banner.
Beholding mankind he sits in the midst of the sky, filling (with light) the heaven and earth and thefirmament; he illumines the all-pervading (quarters of space), the bright-pervading (intermediate points), and thehindmost, the foremost, and the hindmost mark.
Beholding men he sits amid the heaven filling the two world-halves and air's wide region. He looks upon the rich far-spreading pastures between the eastern and the western limit.
