You made the rivers flow under the sky; I will strike the foeman, O Indra; you nourish the universe. We venerate you who pours forth the rain, O mighty one who pierces many skies.
You have sent the rivers away downwards, you have slain Ahi; you are born, Indra, without an enemy, you grant all that is desirable, as such we embrace you; may the bowstrings on the bows of our enemies bedestroyed.
Thou didst destroy the Dragon: thou sentest the rivers down to earth. Foeless, O Indra, wast thou born. Thou tendest well each choicest thing. Therefore we draw us close to thee. Let the weak bowstrings break upon the bows of feeble enemies.
