nirmāyā u tye asurā abhūvantvaṃ ca mā varuṇa kāmayāse ṛtena rājannanṛtaṃ viviñcanmama rāṣṭrasyādhipatyamehi
May there be no counterfeit ones, may those not be demons; do not, O Varuṇa, desire me. By right, O king, do not instigate untruth against me; grant me sovereignty over my realm.
These asuras were deprived of their magical power; if you, Varuṇa, desire me, (then), O king, separating truth from falsehood, come and enjoy sovereignty over my realm.
These Asuras have lost their powers of magic. But thou, O Varuna, if thou dost love me, O King, discerning truth and right from falsehood, come and be Lord and Ruler of my kingdom.
