तदिदा॑स॒ भुव॑नेषु॒ ज्येष्ठं॒ यतो॑ ज॒ज्ञ उ॒ग्रस्त्वे॒षनृ॑म्णः । स॒द्यो ज॑ज्ञा॒नो नि रि॑णाति॒ शत्रू॒ननु॒ यं विश्वे॒ मद॒न्त्यूमाः॑
tadidāsa bhuvaneṣu jyeṣṭhaṃ yato jajña ugrastveṣanṛmṇaḥ sadyo jajñāno ni riṇāti śatrūnanu yaṃ viśve madantyūmāḥ
This day he performed a great sacrifice in the worlds, by which he sought to conquer the fierce hosts; immediately he conquered, vanquishing enemies all around.
That was the chiefest in all worlds, from whence the fierce one, the rich in radiance, was born; assoon as born, he destroys the foes, he in whom all living beings delight.
IN all the worlds That was the Best and Highest whence sprang the Mighty Gods, of splendid valour. As soon as born he overcomes his foemen, be in whom all who lend him aid are joyful.
