taṃ vo viṃ na druṣadaṃ devamandhasa induṃ prothantaṃ pravapantamarṇavam āsā vahniṃ na śociṣā virapśinaṃ mahivrataṃ na sarajantamadhvanaḥ
You saw that bright god, the shining Indu, advancing over the ocean. They desired the fire and did not grieve; the loud‑voiced mighty vow kept not silence.
(Glorify) him, (worshippers), the divine, like a bird seated upon a tree, demanding sacrificial food, clamorous, wood-consuming, water-shedding, like one bearing (the oblation) in his mouth, mighty with radiance, simultaneously illuminating the paths, like the great functionary (the sun).
Praise him, yourGod who, bird-like, rests upon a tree, scattering drops of juice and pouring forth his flood, Speaking aloud with flame as with his lips a priest, and broadening his paths like one of high command.
