वृ॒त्रेण॒ यदहि॑ना॒ बिभ्र॒दायु॑धा स॒मस्थि॑था यु॒धये॒ शंस॑मा॒विदे॑ । विश्वे॑ ते॒ अत्र॑ म॒रुतः॑ स॒ह त्मनाव॑र्धन्नुग्र महि॒मान॑मिन्द्रि॒यम्
vṛtreṇa yadahinā bibhradāyudhā samasthithā yudhaye śaṃsamāvide viśve te atra marutaḥ saha tmanāvardhannugra mahimānamindriyam
Vṛtra, who bore weapons and stood ready for battle, was subdued; all the Maruts there increased in might, ennobling the senses.
When you did encounter the indestructible Vṛtra, wielding your weapons for combat, you acquirerenown; all the associated Maruts of their own accord magnified your great might appropriate to Indra.
When, bearing warlike weapons, fain to win thee praise, thou mettest Vrtra, yea, the Dragon, for the fight, Then all the Maruts who were gathered with dice there extolled, O Mighty One, thy powerful majesty.
