तम॑स्य॒ विष्णु॑र्महि॒मान॒मोज॑सां॒शुं द॑ध॒न्वान्मधु॑नो॒ वि र॑प्शते । दे॒वेभि॒रिन्द्रो॑ म॒घवा॑ स॒याव॑भिर्वृ॒त्रं ज॑घ॒न्वाँ अ॑भव॒द्वरे॑ण्यः
tamasya viṣṇurmahimānamojasāṃśuṃ dadhanvānmadhuno vi rapśate devebhirindro maghavā sayāvabhirvṛtraṃ jaghanvām̐ abhavadvareṇyaḥ
To him Vishnu established great glory and gave the juices of strength; Midhuna received it and rejoiced. Among the gods Indra with the generous ones slew Vṛtra and became excellent.
Viṣṇu offering the portion of the Soma, glorified by his own vigour that greatness of his. Indra, thelord of wealth, with the associated gods having slain Vṛtra, became deserving of honour.
This majesty of his Visnu extols and lauds, making the stalCthat gives the meath flow forth with inight. When Indra Maghavan with those who followed him had smitten Vrtra he deserved the choice of Gods.
