indraḥ kila śrutyā asya veda sa hi jiṣṇuḥ pathikṛtsūryāya ānmenāṃ kṛṇvannacyuto bhuvadgoḥ patirdivaḥ sanajā apratītaḥ
Indra indeed knows by hearing this hymn; he is victorious, the path-maker like the sun. Making these steadfast, unmoved, he became lord of cattle and the sky, renowned without equal.
On hearing our praise Indra knows our wishes; victorious, he opens a path for the sun; making himselfMenā, he came (to the sacrifice), he was unassailable, the lord of cattle, (the lord) of heaven, eternal, unsurpassed.
Indra knows, verily, how to hear our singing, for he, victorious, made a path for Surya. He made the Cow, and be became the Sovran of Heaven, primeval, matchless, and unshaken.
