वंस॑गेव पूष॒र्या॑ शि॒म्बाता॑ मि॒त्रेव॑ ऋ॒ता श॒तरा॒ शात॑पन्ता । वाजे॑वो॒च्चा वय॑सा घर्म्ये॒ष्ठा मेषे॑वे॒षा स॑प॒र्या॒३॒॑ पुरी॑षा
vaṃsageva pūṣaryā śimbātā mitreva ṛtā śatarā śātapantā vājevoccā vayasā gharmyeṣṭhā meṣeveṣā saparyā3 purīṣā
Like a bamboo’s blow, Pusha’s shafts, like beams from Shimbāta; Mitra’s order is true, a hundredfold, a hundred sources. With the strength of the prize, foremost in vigor, like rams and like men—
