The eagles of the day have carried forth the earlier thought and the radiant goddess of intellect. The Brahmans perform rites; the Gotamas with shafts raise the Sun upward to the expanse; drink ye the remedy.

Fortunate days have befallen you, (sons of Gotama), when thirsty, and have given lustre to the rite for which water was essential; the sons of Gotama, (offering) oblations with sacred hymns, have raised aloft the well (provided) for their dwelling.

The days went round you and came back O yearners, back, to this prayer and to this solemn worship. The Gotamas making their prayer with singing have pushed the well's lid up to drink the water.
