जि॒ह्मं नु॑नुद्रेऽव॒तं तया॑ दि॒शासि॑ञ्च॒न्नुत्सं॒ गोत॑माय तृ॒ष्णजे॑ । आ ग॑च्छन्ती॒मव॑सा चि॒त्रभा॑नवः॒ कामं॒ विप्र॑स्य तर्पयन्त॒ धाम॑भिः
jihmaṃ nunudre'vataṃ tayā diśāsiñcannutsaṃ gotamāya tṛṣṇaje ā gacchantīmavasā citrabhānavaḥ kāmaṃ viprasya tarpayanta dhāmabhiḥ
They roared upward; by that were directions filled, quenching the thirst of the cattle-born Gotama. The shining-browed ones came and, making the brahmana’s desire flow, satisfied him with homesteads.
They brought the crooked well to the plural ce (where the Muni was), and sprinkled the water upon the thirsty Gotama; the variously-radiant (Maruts) come to his succour, gratifyinng the desire of the sage with life-sustaining (waters).
They drave the cloud transverse directed hitherward, and poured the fountain forth for thirsting Gotama. Shining with varied light they come to him with help: they with their might fulfilled the longing of the sage.
