Who today binds the steed to the yoke of order like a blazing flame, O radiant ones with hard hearts? Near are they who have seized the breath; may these servants, by strength, make them live.
Who yokes todya to the pole of the car (of Indra) his vigorous and radiant steeds, whose fury is unbearable, in whose mouths are arrows, who trample on the hearts (of enemies), who give happiness (to friends). (The sacrificer) who praises their (performance of their) duties obtains (long) life.
Who yokes to-day unto the pole of Order the strong and passionate steers of checkless spirit, With shaft-armed mouths, heart-piercing, health-bestowing? Long shall he live who richly pays their service.
