ādaṅgirāḥ prathamaṃ dadhire vaya iddhāgnayaḥ śamyā ye sukṛtyayā sarvaṃ paṇeḥ samavindanta bhojanamaśvāvantaṃ gomantamā paśuṃ naraḥ
The Adangiras were the first to place offerings, O men, for the blazing Agnis with rite and goodness. All the cattle and steeds and cows and oxen and beasts and men partake of the sacrificial food.
The Aṅgirasas first prepared (for Indra) the sacrificial food, and then, with kindled fire, (worshipped him) with a most holy rite; they, the instrumental tutors (of the ceremony); acquired all the wealth of Paṇi, comprising horses, and cows, and (other) animals.
First the Angirases won themselves vital power, whose fires were kindled through good deeds and sacrifice. The men together found the Pani's hoarded wealth, the cattle, and the wealth in horses and in kine.
