अधि॒ सानौ॒ नि जि॑घ्नते॒ वज्रे॑ण श॒तप॑र्वणा । म॒न्दा॒न इन्द्रो॒ अन्ध॑सः॒ सखि॑भ्यो गा॒तुमि॑च्छ॒त्यर्च॒न्ननु॑ स्व॒राज्य॑म्
adhi sānau ni jighnate vajreṇa śataparvaṇā mandāna indro andhasaḥ sakhibhyo gātumicchatyarcannanu svarājyam
Above the two he smote with his thunderbolt, the wielder of many hundred peaks. Blind, slow Indra desired to sing with companions; he pierced and won his sovereignty.
Indra has struck him on the temple with his hundred-edged thunderbolt, and, exulting, wishes to provide means of sustenance for his friends, manifesting his own sovereignty.
With hundred-jointed thunderbolt Indra hath struck him on the back, And, while rejoicing in the juice, seeketh prosperity for friends, lauding his own imperial sway.
