आ यदि॒षे नृ॒पतिं॒ तेज॒ आन॒ट् छुचि॒ रेतो॒ निषि॑क्तं॒ द्यौर॒भीके॑ । अ॒ग्निः शर्ध॑मनव॒द्यं युवा॑नं स्वा॒ध्यं॑ जनयत्सू॒दय॑च्च
ā yadiṣe nṛpatiṃ teja ānaṭ chuci reto niṣiktaṃ dyaurabhīke agniḥ śardhamanavadyaṃ yuvānaṃ svādhyaṃ janayatsūdayacca
If you here desire a king's brilliance, O Agni, let the mighty seed be laid on the heavenly flank. Agni produced the unassailable fame, the youthful sovereign, engendering his own sacred strength and rise.
May that (digestive) faculty (of Agni) with regards food, be imparted to the devout and illustrious protector of priests, as the source of virile vigour; and may Agni be born as (his) robust, irreproachable, youthful and intelligent son, and instrumental gate him (to acts of worship).
When light bath filled the Lord of men for increase, straight from the heaven descends the limpid moisture. Agni bath brought to light and filled with spirit the youthful host blameless and well providing.
