मथी॒द्यदीं॒ विभृ॑तो मात॒रिश्वा॑ गृ॒हेगृ॑हे श्ये॒तो जेन्यो॒ भूत् । आदीं॒ राज्ञे॒ न सही॑यसे॒ सचा॒ सन्ना दू॒त्यं१॒॑ भृग॑वाणो विवाय
mathīdyadīṃ vibhṛto mātariśvā gṛhegṛhe śyeto jenyo bhūt ādīṃ rājñe na sahīyase sacā sannā dūtyaṃ1 bhṛgavāṇo vivāya
The churned mothers, borne by the bearers, in each household brought forth bright grain. To the king first I do not yield; the faithful Br̥gvas give the message.
When the diffusive vital air excites Agni, he becomes bright and manifest in every mansion, and the instrumental tutor of the rite, imitating Bhṛgu, prevails on him to perform the function of messenger, as a prince who has become a friend sends an ambassador to his more powerful (conqueror).
Since Matarisvan, far-diffused, bath stirred him, and he in every house grown bright and noble, He, Bhrgu-like I hath gone as his companion, as on commission to a greater Sovran.
