I invoke the powerful purifier, the forest-dweller Rudra’s son, the roaring one celebrated in oblation; may he, like bright autumn dew, be the leader of winds, the eager herd-bringer, strong and abundant for our glory.
We invoke with praise the foe-destroying, all-purifying, water-shedding, all-surveying band of Maruts, the offspring of Rudra; (priests) to obtain prosperity, have recourse to the dust-raising and powerful band of Maruts, receiving libations from sacred vessels, and showering down (benefits).
The progeny of Rudra we invoke with prayer, the brisk, the bright, the worshipful, the active Ones To the strong band of Maruts cleave for happiness, the chasers of the sky, impetuous, vigorous.
