When you, Indra, assailed the hostile and the obstinate, and struck down the hostile bands, our timber‑like foes were scattered like hostile darts; the thunderer made the enemies perish.
Do you, Indra, who are unwilling to harm any resolute (mortal), set open all the quarters (of the horizon) to the horses of us who praise you, (when we are exposed) to the aversion (of our enemies); and, wielder of the thunderbolt, demolish our foes, as with a club.
This doest thou, and art not harmed, O Indra, e'en in the anger of the strongest mortal. Lay thou the race-course open for our horses: as with a club, slay, Thunderarmed 1 our foemen.
