He divided them; he scattered the born ones in evening and in cold toil — praised with songs. The divine splendour, not exceeding the highest heaven, upheld the moving rivers and beautiful floods.

He who is not to be attained by violence, but (is easily propitiated) by those who praise him with sacred hymns, parted twofold the eternal and united (sphered of heaven and earth); the graceful Indra cherished the heaven and earth, like the sun in the august and most excellent sky.

Unwearied, won with lauding hymns, he parted of old the ancient Pair, united ever. In highest sky like Bhaga, he the doer of marvels set both Dames and earth and heaven.
