We offer this: Tvashta fashioned the thunderbolt, the splendid weapon for battle. He pierced the secret of Vrtra; the famed ones struck at his vital spot—thus did they act.
For that Indra, verily Tvaṣṭā sharpened the well-acting, sure-aimed thunderbolt for the battle, with which fatal (weapon) the foe-subduing and mighty sovereign severed the limbs of Vṛtra.
Even for him hath Tvastar forged the thunder, most deftly wrought, celestial, for the battle, Wherewith he reached the vital parts of Vrtra, striking-the vast, the mighty with the striker.
