We offer this hymn; I pour the oblation, I do not restrain the chariot for the foe. With speech and song may the loud-voiced one conquer for Indra, the wise in counsel.
I prepare praises fo rhim, as a carpenter constructs a car, (that the driver) may thence (obtain) food; praises well deserved, to him who is entitled to commendation, and excellent oblations to the wise Indra.
Even for him I frame a laud, as fashions the wright a chariot for the man who needs it,- Praises to him who gladly hears our praises, a hymn well-formed, all-moving, to wise Indra.
