asmā idu praya iva pra yaṃsi bharāmyāṅgūṣaṃ bādhe suvṛkti indrāya hṛdā manasā manīṣā pratnāya patye dhiyo marjayanta
We offer this, as one offers an armful: bearing the load, with fitting speech. For Indra, with heart, mind and thought, may they cleanse the intellects for the lord.
I offer (oblations, acceptable as) food (to the hungry), to that Indra; I raise (to him) exclamations that may be of efficacy in discomfiting (my foe); others (also) worship Indra, the ancient lord, in heart, in mind, and in understanding.
Praise, like oblation, I present, and utter aloud my song, my fair hymn to the Victor. For Indra, who is Lord of old, the singers have decked their lauds with heart and mind and spirit.
