O Ushikpa, protector among men, best of wealth, the priest placed the oblation and looked. By the household guardian, the agni (fire) is lord of the world, giver of wealth to the possessors.
Agni, the desirable, the purifying, the giver of dwellings, the excellent, the invoker (of the gods) has been plural ced (upon the altar) among men; may he be inimical (to our foes), the protector of (our) dwellings and the guardian of the treasures in (this) mansion.
Good to mankind, the yearning Purifier hath among men been placed as Priest choice-worthy. May Agni be our Friend, Lord of the Household, protector of the riches in the dwelling.
