Sing his new fame arising in our hearts: sweet-tongued, O mortals, the priests in the oblation place perform rites. Strive, O mortals, to win the long-lived wealth and to make life vigorous.
May our newest celebration come before that Agni, who is sweet-tongued, and is to be engendered in the heart; whom men, the descendants of Manu, sacrificing and presenting oblations to him, beget in the time and battle.
May our fair praise, heart-born, most recent, reach him whose tongue, e'en at his birth, is sweet as honey; Whom mortal priests, men, with their strong endeavour, supplied with dainty viands, have created.
