स तु॒र्वणि॑र्म॒हाँ अ॑रे॒णु पौंस्ये॑ गि॒रेर्भृ॒ष्टिर्न भ्रा॑जते तु॒जा शवः॑ । येन॒ शुष्णं॑ मा॒यिन॑माय॒सो मदे॑ दु॒ध्र आ॒भूषु॑ रा॒मय॒न्नि दाम॑नि
sa turvaṇirmahām̐ areṇu pauṃsye girerbhṛṣṭirna bhrājate tujā śavaḥ yena śuṣṇaṃ māyinamāyaso made dudhra ābhūṣu rāmayanni dāmani
He, the great one, struck by the thunderbolt, does not blaze forth like flaming fuel; by whom the magician of heat made the dry one moist, who adorned the cows with milk, who brings the booty.
He is quick in action, and mighty; his faultless and desructive prowess shines in manly (conflict) like the peak of a mountain (afar), with which, clothed in metal (armour), he, the supressor of the malignant, when exhilarated (by Soma), cast the wily Śuṣṇa into prison and into bonds.
Victorious, great is he; in manly battle shines, unstained with dust, his might, as shines a mountain peak; Wherewith the iron one, fierce e'en against the strong, in rapture, fettered wily Sushna fast in bonds.
