स इन्म॒हानि॑ समि॒थानि॑ म॒ज्मना॑ कृ॒णोति॑ यु॒ध्म ओज॑सा॒ जने॑भ्यः । अधा॑ च॒न श्रद्द॑धति॒ त्विषी॑मत॒ इन्द्रा॑य॒ वज्रं॑ नि॒घनि॑घ्नते व॒धम्
sa inmahāni samithāni majmanā kṛṇoti yudhma ojasā janebhyaḥ adhā cana śraddadhati tviṣīmata indrāya vajraṃ nighanighnate vadham
He makes great alliances by a necklace, bestowing vigour and strength upon people. Below he established faith; for Indra with might he hurls the thunderbolt, slaying the foe.
Indra the warrior, engages in many great conflicts for (the good of) man, with overwhelming prowess; when he hurls his fatal shaft, every one immediately has faith in the resplendent Indra.
Yet verily the Warrior in his vigorous strength stirreth up with his might great battles for mankind; And men have faith in Indra, the respIendent One, what time he hurleth down his bolt, his dart of death.
