You, on that farther side of mist and atmosphere, upheld the sky’s own being with steadfast mind. You drew the earth toward you with vigor; waters, heaven, and your radiant light encompassed it.
Firm-minded Indra, abiding (secure) in your strength beyond the limit of the wide-expanded firmament, you have framed the earth for our preservation; you have been the type of vigour; you have encompassed the firmament and the sky as far as to the heavens.
Thou, bold of heart, in thine own native might, for help, upon the limit of this mid-air and of heaven, Hast made the earth to be the pattern of thy strength: embracing flood and light thou reachest to the sky.
