takṣadyatta uśanā sahasā saho vi rodasī majmanā bādhate śavaḥ ā tvā vātasya nṛmaṇo manoyuja ā pūryamāṇamavahannabhi śravaḥ
He fashioned the beam, the burning weapon, sudden and piercing; the corpse is struck by the mass. May the wind of the builder be with you; the mind yoked to the man filled the air and brought the ear near.
If Uṣanās should sharpen your vigour by his own, then would your might terrify by its intensity both heaven and earth. Friend of man, let the will harnessed steeds, with the velocity of the wind, convey you, replete (with vigour), to (partake of the sacrificial) food.
The might which Usana hath formed for thee with might rends in its greatness and with strength both worlds apart. O Hero-souled, the steeds of Vata, yoked by thought, have carried thee to fame while thou art filled with power.
