agnirvavne suvīryamagniḥ kaṇvāya saubhagam agniḥ prāvanmitrota medhyātithimagniḥ sātā upastutam
Agni, you are our celebrated hero, Agni, the auspicious Kanva’s glory. Agni, come forth to the honored guest; Agni, may you be seated near the praise.
Agni is solicited for power-conferring (affluence); he has granted prosperity to Kaṇva, he has protected our friends, as well as the (sage who was) the host of the holy and (every other) worshipper (who has had recourse to him) for riches.
Agni hath given heroic might to Kainva, and felicity: Agni hath helped our friends, hath helped Medhyitithi, hath helped Upastuta to win.
