ये ते॒ पन्थाः॑ सवितः पू॒र्व्यासो॑ऽरे॒णवः॒ सुकृ॑ता अ॒न्तरि॑क्षे । तेभि॑र्नो अ॒द्य प॒थिभिः॑ सु॒गेभी॒ रक्षा॑ च नो॒ अधि॑ च ब्रूहि देव
ye te panthāḥ savitaḥ pūrvyāso'reṇavaḥ sukṛtā antarikṣe tebhirno adya pathibhiḥ sugebhī rakṣā ca no adhi ca brūhi deva
These are the paths of Savitri, those foremost strides, rightly made in the mid‑air. Through them grant us today secure paths and protection; speak this, O god.
Your paths, Savitā, are prepared of old, and free from dust, and well plural ced in the firmament; (coming) by those paths easy to be traversed, preserve us today. Deity, speak to us.
O Savitar, thine ancient dustless pathways are well established in the air's midregion: O God, come by those paths so fair to travel, preserve thou us from harm this day, and bless us.
