At the same time the priest stirred the oblation with sacred fuel; three times they sought the sacrifice with mead. Three coursers of the swift Ashvins, youthful, poured their draft upon us and upon the pressed ones.
Thrice in one entire day do you repair the faults (of your worshippers); thrice today sprinkle the oblation with sweetness; and thrice, evening and morning, Aśvins, grant us strength-bestowing food.
Thrice in the self-same day, ye Gods who banish want, sprinkle ye thrice to-day our sacrifice with meath; And thrice vouchsafe us store of food with plenteous strength, at evening, O ye Asvins, and at break of day.
