आवः॒ शमं॑ वृष॒भं तुग्र्या॑सु क्षेत्रजे॒षे म॑घव॒ञ्छ्वित्र्यं॒ गाम् । ज्योक्चि॒दत्र॑ तस्थि॒वांसो॑ अक्रञ्छत्रूय॒तामध॑रा॒ वेद॑नाकः
āvaḥ śamaṃ vṛṣabhaṃ tugryāsu kṣetrajeṣe maghavañchvitryaṃ gām jyokcidatra tasthivāṃso akrañchatrūyatāmadharā vedanākaḥ
Come, restrain the bull with power; in the fertile field the hero desired the fair-going cow. The strong one stood like a lamp there; may the foes not wish to press upon the earth—he who knows pain.
You have protected, Maghavan, the excellent son of Śvitā, when combating for his lands, and encouraged (by you) when immersed in water; do you inflict sharp pains on those of hostile minds, who have long stood (in enmity) against us.
Svitra's mild steer, O Maghavan thou helpest in combat for the land, mid Tugra's houses. Long stood they there before the task was ended: thou wast the master of the foemen's treasure.
