अ॒भि सि॒ध्मो अ॑जिगादस्य॒ शत्रू॒न्वि ति॒ग्मेन॑ वृष॒भेणा॒ पुरो॑ऽभेत् । सं वज्रे॑णासृजद्वृ॒त्रमिन्द्रः॒ प्र स्वां म॒तिम॑तिर॒च्छाश॑दानः
abhi sidhmo ajigādasya śatrūnvi tigmena vṛṣabheṇā puro'bhet saṃ vajreṇāsṛjadvṛtramindraḥ pra svāṃ matimatiracchāśadānaḥ
He struck with violence, smiting his foes; with the bull-like vigor he rushed into the fort. With his thunderbolt Indra released Vritra, and he desired his own thoughtful counsel and gave bounty.
The weapon of Indra fell upon his adversaries; with his sharp and excellent (shaft) he destroyed their cities; he then reached Vṛtra with his thunderbolt, and (by) slaying him, exhilarated his mind.
Fierce on his enemies fell Indra's weapon: with. his sharp bull he rent their forts in pieces. He with his thunderbolt dealt blows on Vrtra; and conquered, executing all his purpose.
