न्या॑विध्यदिली॒बिश॑स्य दृ॒ळ्हा वि शृ॒ङ्गिण॑मभिन॒च्छुष्ण॒मिन्द्रः॑ । याव॒त्तरो॑ मघव॒न्याव॒दोजो॒ वज्रे॑ण॒ शत्रु॑मवधीः पृत॒न्युम्
nyāvidhyadilībiśasya dṛḷhā vi śaṛṅgiṇamabhinacchuṣṇamindraḥ yāvattaro maghavanyāvadojo vajreṇa śatrumavadhīḥ pṛtanyum
He seized the tough, knotted, horned foe who coveted the heated prize; as long as the heroic one advanced like a flood, with the thunderbolt he slew the enemy of many.
Indra set free (the waters) obstructed by (Vṛtra), when sleeping in the caves of the earth, and slew the horned dryer up (of the world). You, Maghavan, with equal swiftness and strength, did kill with your thunderbolt the enemy defying you to battle.
Indra broke through Ilibisa's strong castles, and Suspa with his horn he cut to pieces: Thou, Maghavan, for all his might and swiftness, slewest thy fighting foeman with thy thunder
