tvamagne manave dyāmavāśayaḥ purūravase sukṛte sukṛttaraḥ śvātreṇa yatpitrormucyase paryā tvā pūrvamanayannāparaṃ punaḥ
You, O Agni, the mind-born of men, the heaven-expander, protector of many, have freed the ancestral sin with purification; you led us forward once before and again afterwards.
Your, Agni, has announced heaven to Manu; you have more than requited Purūravas doing homage to you. When you are set free by the attrition of your parents, they bear you first to the east, then to the west (of the altar).
Agni thou madest heaven to thunder for mankind; thou, yet more pious, for pious Pururavas. When thou art rapidly freed from thy parents, first eastward they bear thee round, and, after, to the west.
