त्वम॑ग्न उरु॒शंसा॑य वा॒घते॑ स्पा॒र्हं यद्रेक्णः॑ पर॒मं व॒नोषि॒ तत् । आ॒ध्रस्य॑ चि॒त्प्रम॑तिरुच्यसे पि॒ता प्र पाकं॒ शास्सि॒ प्र दिशो॑ वि॒दुष्ट॑रः
tvamagna uruśaṃsāya vāghate spārhaṃ yadrekṇaḥ paramaṃ vanoṣi tat ādhrasya citpramatirucyase pitā pra pākaṃ śāssi pra diśo viduṣṭaraḥ
Thou, Agni, with wide favor speak forth the cherished touch which thou holdest single and supreme in thy ritual. Thou art called the thought-bright one of the moist (sacrificial) fire; fatherly, thou rulest the cook and knowest the directions.
You, Agni, desire (that the worshipper may acquire) that excellent wealth which is reqquisite for the many-commended priest; you are called the well-intentioned protector. You, who are all-wise, instrumental ucted the disciple, and (define) the points of the horizon.
Thou, Agni gainest for the loudly-praising priest the highest wealth, the object of a man's desire. Thou art called Father, caring even for the weak, and wisest, to the simple one thou teachest lore.
