Indra struck down the ass of the sea, the low one new-born, by sin and misfortune; may Indra praise you among kine and horses, among the bright thousands, may he protect you.
Indra, destroy this ass, (our adversary), praising you with such discordant speech; and do your, Indra, of boundless wealth, enrich us with thousands of excellent cows and horses.
Destroy this ass, O Indra, who in tones discordant brays to thee: Do thou, O Indra, give us hope of beauteous horses and of kine, In thousands, O most wealthy One.
