तमृ॒त्विया॒ उप॒ वाचः॑ सचन्ते॒ सर्गो॒ न यो दे॑वय॒तामस॑र्जि । बृह॒स्पतिः॒ स ह्यञ्जो॒ वरां॑सि॒ विभ्वाभ॑व॒त्समृ॒ते मा॑त॒रिश्वा॑
tamṛtviyā upa vācaḥ sacante sargo na yo devayatāmasarji bṛhaspatiḥ sa hyañjo varāṃsi vibhvābhavatsamṛte mātariśvā
They speak the mortal words that do not perish; creation is not what the gods cast aside. Bṛhaspati indeed granted excellent boons and became manifest, O mother’s son.
The hymns of the (rainy) season are addressed to him, who is verily the creator (of the rain), and has granted it (to the prayers) of the devout; for that Bṛhaspati is the manifester (of all), the expansive wind that (dispensing) blessings has been produced for (the diffusion of) water.
On him wait songs according to the season even as a stream of pious men set moving. Brhaspati-for helaid out the expanses- was, at the sacrifice, vast Matarisvan.
