May the river not swallow our young and tender ones like a flood; by whom the offspring of waters and the swift bulls that carry them are borne.
May, Ahirbudhnya grant us happiness; may Sindhu come, nourishing us as a (cow her) calf, whereby we may propitiate the grandson of the waters, (Agni), whom the clouds, swift as thought, convey.
May the great Dragon of the Deep rejoice us: as one who nourishes her young comes Sindhu, With whom we will incite the Child of Waters whom vigorous course swift as thought bring hither.
