अत॑प्यमाने॒ अव॒साव॑न्ती॒ अनु॑ ष्याम॒ रोद॑सी दे॒वपु॑त्रे । उ॒भे दे॒वाना॑मु॒भये॑भि॒रह्नां॒ द्यावा॒ रक्ष॑तं पृथिवी नो॒ अभ्वा॑त्
atapyamāne avasāvantī anu ṣyāma rodasī devaputre ubhe devānāmubhayebhirahnāṃ dyāvā rakṣataṃ pṛthivī no abhvāt
When the heat increased they took rest, following the course of the sunny one, offspring of the gods. Both in the two divine presences at the daytime’s meeting the sky protected and the earth was not distant from us.
May we ever be (devoted to) that Heaven and Earth, who are not subject to annoyance, who satisfy (all beings) with food, who have the gods (and men) for sons, and who are both endowed with the double (condition) of the divine days (and nights); defend us, Heaven and Earth, from great (danger).
May we be close to both the Worlds who suffer no pain, Parents of Gods, who aid with favour, Both mid the Gods, with Day and Night alternate. Protect us, Heaven and Earth, from fearful danger.
