पू॒र्वीर॒हं श॒रदः॑ शश्रमा॒णा दो॒षा वस्तो॑रु॒षसो॑ ज॒रय॑न्तीः । मि॒नाति॒ श्रियं॑ जरि॒मा त॒नूना॒मप्यू॒ नु पत्नी॒र्वृष॑णो जगम्युः
pūrvīrahaṃ śaradaḥ śaśramāṇā doṣā vastoruṣaso jarayantīḥ mināti śriyaṃ jarimā tanūnāmapyū nu patnīrvṛṣaṇo jagamyuḥ
Formerly in autumn the herds wandered, the provinces of the kine grew old, the wives of Vrishni moved; the prosperous one measured wealth with slender bodies and the cows went forth.
(Lopāmudrā): Many years have I been serving you diligently, both day and night, and through mornings, bringing on old age; decay now impairs the beauty of my limbs; what, therefore, is now (to be done); let husbands approach their wives.
'Through many autumns have I toiled and laboured, at night and morn, through age-inducing dawnings. Old age impairs the beauty of our bodies. Let husbands still come near unto their spouses.
