You, O Indra, are the giver, the bestower of joy, the envoy of what belongs to both; may those who go forth, the Maruts, resound for us whom the gods formerly made to proceed through the town.
Your riches, Indra, are most delighting; the exciters of any one desirous to sacrifice; may those Maruts be propitious to us; the divine beings who were anxious to go first to the ceremony.
With thee, O Indra, are most bounteous riches that further every one who lives uprightly. Now may these Maruts show us loving-kindness, Gods who of old were ever prompt to help us.
